Your family spent a lifetime building it.

We help you preserve it.

Most families don’t lose what they’ve worked for all at once.

They lose it slowly — to nursing home costs, to poor asset structuring, to legal gaps, to decisions made too late.

We’re here before that happens.

A Will in a drawer won’t do it. A real plan built around your actual situation will.

Without a real plan

Your estate goes through probate — public, expensive, and contestable. Your home is exposed to care costs. Your business has no clear future. Your family is left figuring it out under pressure.

With a plan in place

Your assets go where you want them, privately and efficiently. Your home is protected. Your business has a future. Your family has clarity instead of conflict.

What we help you with

Estate Planning

Wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives – structured to protect your beneficiaries and reflect your actual wishes.

Medicaid Planning

Protect your home and savings from long-term care costs before a health crisis forces your hand.

Asset Protection

Structure what you own so it’s shielded from creditors, lawsuits, and unexpected claims — before you ever need that protection.

Business Succession

A plan for what happens to your business if you step away, become incapacitated, or pass on — so it doesn’t fall apart when you need it most.

What you get when you plan ahead

You stay in control

The earlier you plan, the more choices you have. Wait too long, and the decisions get made by Medicaid rules, by courts, by time pressure.

No decisions made in a crisis

The worst time to figure out a plan is when you’re already in one. Planning now means every hard decision has already been made — calmly.

Your family knows what to do

Grief is hard enough. When there’s a clear plan, siblings don’t fight, nobody second-guesses, and the family can focus on each other.

Your home stays in the family

A nursing home stay can cost over $150,000 a year. Without the right structure, that comes directly out of your home and savings.

Your family is taken care of

The people who depend on you are protected and won’t be left scrambling. They’ll know exactly what to expect — and so will you.

You stop worrying about this

Once it’s done, it’s done. You’ll stop carrying that background anxiety about what would happen if something happened tomorrow.

Trusted guidance

“After more than a decade doing this work, I’ve seen what a real plan can do for a family — and I’ve seen what happens when there isn’t one. The difference is everything. I started Plan and Preserve to help more families get on the right side of that difference.”

Peace of mind in three steps

1

We listen first

A brief call — no forms, no commitment, no pressure. We want to understand your family, your assets, what you’re worried about, and what you most want to protect. You’ll know within 15 minutes whether we can help.

You feel heard, not processed

2

We design your plan together

A dedicated strategy session where we map your actual exposure and design a protection plan built specifically around your family. No generic checklists. A $300 fee applies — credited toward your full plan if you move forward.

Clarity where there was uncertainty

3

We help you put the protection in place

We prepare everything that needs to be prepared and make sure it’s structured correctly — not just signed and filed. This is where your family actually becomes protected.

Your family is actually protected

You’re probably wondering…

We already have a Will. Aren't we covered?

A Will may be an important part of your planning, but it is not a safety net. It doesn’t protect your home from nursing home costs, may not protect your beneficiaries, and it doesn’t take effect until after you’re gone. Most families with a Will are more exposed than they realize. A review can help determine whether your current planning is enough.

Do I need a trust?

Not everyone does. The right approach depends on your assets, goals, family situation, and concerns.

We're not wealthy. Is this even for us?

If you own a home or have savings you’d like to protect, this is exactly for you. Planning isn’t just for wealthy families — it’s for any family with something worth protecting and something to lose. In fact, middle-class families often have the most to gain from planning.

Is Medicaid planning only for people who need Medicaid now?

No. Many people begin planning before there is an immediate need, so they have more options and more flexibility later.

My parent is already in the hospital. Is it too late?

Not necessarily. While early planning provides the most flexibility, we also assist families facing “Crisis Planning” situations. Even in urgent situations, there are often strategies that can preserve a significant portion of a family’s assets, even at the last minute.

What does the strategy session cost?

We charge a $300 commitment fee to ensure dedicated time of legal analysis tailored specifically to your family’s financial landscape. If you choose to move forward with a full protection plan, this fee is credited directly toward your total fee.

Can my family join the conversation?

Please do. The more of your family that understands the plan, the better it works. We offer in-person, video, and hybrid sessions so that adult children, near or far, can all be part of the conversation. Getting everyone aligned early prevents a lot of confusion later.

Where are your offices located if we prefer to meet in person?

For clients who prefer a traditional meeting, we have offices in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Marlboro (New Jersey).

Let’s have a conversation.

No obligation. No jargon. Just an honest conversation about your situation and whether we can help. It takes about 15 minutes.

If you’re not sure whether your situation is serious enough to call, it probably is. And if it isn’t, we’ll tell you that too.

Every family has something worth protecting.
